About
-Our Little Rebellion-
In 2021, during one of of the most trying times in American history, Jailbroke Smoke was born. Originally created by Mark Breedlove and family to be a mobile BBQ venture during Covid, the vision of Jailbroke Smoke was to give folks a place to eat good food without restrictions. Yet, while somewhat successful, the timing, however, was not. Jailbroke was put on the shelf, while the Breedlove’s went about life with work, school, activities, etc. Amongst the hustle and bustle Mark forgot two very important things, the why and the how. Trying times and bad choices caused Mark to take his eyes off those very important questions. However, after searching and massive amounts of prayer and life change, God has answered those questions for the Breedlove’s. The Why: The mission is not to produce a product to “save souls”. Salvation is the supernatural work of God, yet the why is to have a right relationship with Jesus and to go and make disciples of all nations (Matt. 28:19; Luke10:17-20). That brings us to the How. The How is answered by the why. Coffee is the ocean, we are the vessel, and the Gospel is the lighthouse signaling us home as we bring folks back to Christ. The righteous and firm relationship with Christ is the firm foundation of a successful business. When the reward of a business is not just fiscal, but spiritual, there is no failure! (John 20:21) The goal of Jailbroke Smoke is to first to rebel against the prison that sin has locked us away in, by honoring Christ in everything we do. Second, is to bring you the best tasting coffee possible!
Mark and Andrea Breedlove (owners) are from Pleasant Garden, NC. They are parents to Asher and Gideon Breedlove. Before the kids, Mark attended Word of Life Bible Institute in Schroon Lake, NY, where he studied theology. After returning home, he helped start a non-profit organization that raised money for Christian Counseling for individuals in need. While building the non-profit Mark attended John Wesley College where he received a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Counseling.
Andrea Breedlove attended UNCG and received a nursing degree. After university, Andrea landed a job in the Cone Health system in Greensboro, NC. Andrea tried working in different departments in the hospital until she found her heart in the psych dept. Andrea currently works in medical insurance.
Asher and Gideon attend Vandalia Christian School. They enjoy, sports, friends, and tearing up our house.
